OUR PHILOSOPHY

At I&C Mercato Italiano, we prepare food daily in small batches using seasonal ingredients and traditional Italian techniques. From fresh bread and sandwiches to family dinners and gelato, every item is crafted with care and available until sold out.

OUR STORY

I&C Mercato Italiano was created by Chef Paco Frola to bring the feeling of an Italian neighborhood market to Fair Lawn. Inspired by the bakeries, alimentari, and family-run kitchens of Italy, our focus is simple: fresh bread, seasonal cooking, family dinners, gelato, and genuine hospitality.

The proposed menu he sent over had so many delicious, inventive ideas and he was really happy to be flexible to accommodate one pregnant vegan in my group. He seemed very passionate about produce and excitedly suggested a number of in season vegetable dishes for her. His response time was very quick and he was very attentive (asking if I needed napkins, plates, cookware, ice etc etc.) He was very punctual, he told me he'd arrived at 5pm but was there at 4:50pm. We threw a few unexpected curveballs his way - I did not know that my venue was a 5th floor walkup. On top of that, the oven was broken. Chef never complained and delivered a wonderful evening.
